Armin Linke a participant of the main project of the Fourth Moscow Biennale is expected to arrive in Moscow.
Armin Linke, an Italian artist and photographer and a participant of the main project of the Fourth Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, is expected to arrive in Moscow in June to continue his Rome photo projects “The Body of the State”.

The organizing committee of the Moscow Biennale has announced that the main project of the Fourth Biennale will be presented at two venues: ARTPLAY Design Center and the exhibition halls of the TSUM Art Foundation. The biennale will be held September 22 – October 30, 2011.

Although heavily influenced by the Russian Futurists, Dada was never in Moscow. Cabaret Voltaire would like to present Moscow with Dada. This spring event, featuring lectures and workshops, launches "Rewriting Worlds: Dada Moscow," a special project of the Fourth Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, which will take place in September 2011.

Mr. Weibel spoke about his plans for the coming Biennale. The main part of the press-conference was devoted to the International symposium “Next Society,” which will take place April, 2011, at Polytechnic Museum in Moscow. Joseph Backstein announced the opening of the Biennale on 22nd or 29th of September, depending on the schedule of the main international events. He also presented the list of venues that could host Moscow Biennale in 2011.

During his first visit to Moscow, Peter Weibel met with journalists and art critics and also visited several galleries and exhibition halls. During his meeting with journalists, the curator of the Fourth Moscow Biennale presented the event’s concept. On his next trip to Moscow, Mr. Weibel will meet with Russian artists.
