Through art as a system of knowledge and an instrument of transmutation, the three artists approach the general theme of the Biennale: "Rewriting worlds." The willing of the three artists is to use their own means of expression to investigate, interpret, write and re-write the world, creating the possible, although unlikely, alternatives. Being is doing, doing is knowing, knowing is living, living is transforming, transforming is being.
Traces, alchemical marks, color, video performances, installations, plastic structures and light: every artistic expression enhances thought while seconding instinct, it structures a cerebral approach while longing for a deep introspective path. Behind the mirror means transforming an image out-stepping the mirror’s glare, breaking the reality surface trying to get to the essence of thought: the truth.
As interpreting reality through the use of analogies and ideas associations, the artists create “open” images, interactive structures, dynamic, perceptual, autobiographical, evolving paths making the viewer able to rewrite his own world, finding himself. A self and dynamic exploration that allows artists entering into the mirror of their souls to re-envision, together with their own, the story about the destiny of the world.
In this project, the artists, using the symbols of alchemy, have the ambition to act for knowing, and to know to transform themselves and the world.
